Clerigos Church
Clérigos Church, with its tall bell tower, can be seen from every point in the city and is one of its most characteristic symbols. The church was built for the Brotherhood of the Clérigos by an Italian architect, Nicolau Nasoni, between 1732 and 1750. In front of the church, you’ll see a monumental divided stairway and the main façade with its Baroque ornaments, including garlands and shells.
Pavilhao Rosa Mota
One of the largest arenas in Europe, Pavilhão Rosa Mota is the main sport stadium in Porto, holding 5,400 people .Primarily used for basketball, it was opened in 1954 and is one of the best known landmarks of the city.
Porto Cathedral
Porto Cathedral, located in the historical centre of the city of Porto, Portugal, is one of the city's oldest monuments. Construction began in 1110 under the patronage of Bishop Hugo, and completed in the 13th Century. The cathedral is flanked by two square towers and features a beautiful rose window, remaining one of the most important Romanesque monuments in Portugal.
Church of Cedofeita
The Church of Cedofeita , known in Portuguese as Igreja de São Martinho de Cedofeita was built between the 12th and the 13th centuries. It is one of the most outstanding medieval buildings and the only romanesque church in Portugal with a stone roof . It boasts the nave covered by typical romanesque barrel vaulting, illuminated by the narrow windows. The main façade with a round-arched portal has capitals with interesting romanesque motifs showing the influences from the Cathedrals of Oporto and Coimbra. On the tympanon you can admire a magnificent relief of the Lamb of God, Agnus Dei,which is the typical motif in Portuguese romanesque style.
